Learning how to stay fit for life can get very daunting. There are so many exercises and so many different ways to do them. What if it could all be simplified?

There is a way to stay fit for life and it’s not hard at all. Well, that depends on what you think is hard. The workout can get intense, so in that way it can be hard. But there are only two exercises, so in that way it’s not hard to get it down.

The two exercises can be done separately or they can be combined into one workout. Either way, you can work out for 20 to 30 minutes a day. That’s enough to keep yourself fit. Just keep it up and you can extend your life by many years.

What are these two workouts? Jump rope is one of them. Some fitness gurus suggest using a weighted rope. Your goal as you move past midlife is to work on strength. You’ll naturally lose muscle mass and you’ll need strength to fight that.

The second exercise is the burpee. There are plenty of ways to do a burpee and at first glance it looks like squats. But there is more to it than that. Starting from the standing position, bend your knees until your hands are on the floor. Kick your feet back and do a push up. Kick your feet up and come to a rising position. Then, jump. You are now back to the starting position.

Doing Burpees Doesn’t Require A Gym Membership Either

So, jump rope for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then, do burpees for 10 to 15 minutes. Of course, you can’t do it straight unless you have some awesome endurance. Take a break and do intervals.

But it’s a whole different experience to combine the two exercises into one routine. It maximizes your efforts and you can actually cut your workout time. Of course, doing intervals and going for about 20 minutes is the best.
