Código 1530 Rosa Tequila is officially on the map. It is pink tequila, and we are dying to get a taste.
Made in Amatitán, a small town home to many other tequila distilleries, Código 1530 Rosa gets its color from wine, by sitting in Napa Valley Cabernet barrels for one month. The combination between the agave and the wine-soaked barrels creates this light pink hue of the liquor.
Use light-colored mixers like tonic or soda water to keep the color of the liquor visible. Add some mint leaves or sprigs of fresh thyme for a burst of flavor. This tequila can be used for palomas, margaritas, or other delicious cocktails.
Código 1530 Rosa is now available in 18 states, and is priced at around $60.
